my days in the big apple

1. waiting & spotted pig
- the agony of waiting for a friend that u haven't seen in eons, the disappointment of not seeing him at the airport for the most dramatic reunion u can imagine..the final arrival of ur dear friend and u realise that all is the same!! u can't imagine the relief man *phew*
- salty food? we have a winner here with like 5 times as much salt on every piece of fry, even gie would scream murder. i had NO choice but to have a glass of beer, NO CHOICE *slurp*

2. woodbury common & ktown
- waking up too early to get into the car to drive into a premium outlet stores is something u only do so many times in ur life. Shopping for an entire day, spending all of ur money is also something that'll put u off shopping for a while..but i must also say: we all have our glorious loot.
- FOOD! small place with limited choices but such a yummy kimchi, easily the yummiest kimchi ever! you put a piece in ur mouth and just experience the most sour, the most exciting taste of kimchi! *drool*

3. porridge & pride parade & brgr & nobu
- we had plans..big plans for the beach before the pride parade but fatigue got the better of all of us, so we become the domesticated us. Cooked porridge for breakfast, and "aloy is a lucky man"
- shopping before the pride parade didn't dampen our excitment, didn't cut short our spectacular view of the extravaganza..the display of colours and bodies and heels...such a show!
- FOOD! hunger strikes at 5pm and we head to brgr for some excellent burger & fries! Very tasty and not too salty! *very impt*
- Snooze & shower before the nobu meal...such an explosion of flavours...the citrus, the teriyaki, the vinegar..such comfort! *swoon*

4. dim sum & brooklyn bridge & brooklyn heights & east village
- dim sum is cheap & good! plus the image of aloy working on his comp as yixin, sam and i munch away on our food is farnie! the student life is different one i must say
- walking on the brooklyn bridge is such a breeze..an hour walk on the longest suspension bridge in the world takes ur breath away. this takes u into a quaint little world of brooklyn, an upcoming arts town with a lot of quaint stops and wonderful chocolate & pastries, the wonders of the world
- the 3 of us are 25, 26 and 27 but we were taking shots of us jumping, video of us rolling and i must say, we all had a piece of brooklyn with us when we left...such a day..to remember that 我们都有一颗年轻的心!!! oh F.R.I.E.N.D.S moment: when phoebe was supposed to live with this policeman and they were looking for apts in brooklyn heights..I WAS THERE!.. *snigger*
- met ming at the east village for dam yummy yakitori & fries & sake..i must say, nyc is a haven of food of all sorts

5. dim sum & sending sam & pig stomach soup & shelly's & ktown
- we obviously can't refuse the yummy & cheap dim sum..hurhurhur
- sam's car was over an hour late! i must say, we looked dam 狼狈 squatting at the corner of 6th and west 27th, really we were just waiting for someone to drop some money onto our laps..i mean we are in nyc right? *给我一点吃的吧*
- all plans of going to staten island was foiled when we went back to collect our laundry and found aloy cooking pig stomach soup..it was dam yummy! hats off to the chef!
- we had agreed to go to this shelly's thing, where there's shopping, free booze and ice cream! i must say we cleaned up quite nicely in that place..have a mojito & a beer *smacklips* and the most wonderful choc sherbet...
- Dinner at ktown with boh, sy & aloy was fun..dam noisy and oh..TOO MUCH FOOD! *pain*
- THIS WAS THE NIGHT ALOY CUT MY HAIR! why i let him? i'll never be able to explain but to put it plainly, i don't get bad hair dos much and really, i trust him...erm...he seemed eager so let him do it lor, what's the worst that could happen right?? *gie said it was nice*

6. grand central & ny public library & moma & staten island & roast duck
- the day when i walked ard the city proper with yixin..to the public library *swoon*..such majestic furnishings! it's really as if i walked into the set of "the day after tmr" and grand central station is cool with its zodiac ceilings all
- moma was excellent! wish i had more time and energy to enjoy all of the exhibits! i'm so going back there again man...if i can *wishinghard*
- staten island ferry ride is excellent, what a sight of lower manhatten and the lady herself! Oh, Archie moment : they had a class trip to ellis island and I WAS THERE! The island itself was slightly dodgy by my standard and it really was the hood man..what an experience man
- Humble dinner *finally* in the apt with roast duck from chinatown and cupcakes from chesscake factory...but one flaw..the strange 明明 show that sy bought...erm...(-_-'''')

7. walking around & delayed 4 hrs flight
- it's my time to go home............................*happy&sad*

ever wondered y pple listen to music faithfully? They are searching for a sound, a sound within themselves, the sound of their very own heartbeat when they see the one person that makes their heart flutter
